Social Program

An unforgettable social program for delegates, spouses and other family members is being planned for the 11^th International Congress of the Brazilian Geophysical Society.

The social and entertainment activities will show the endless charm, culture, natural beauty and gastronomy of Salvador.

Monday Opening Session

One of the highlights of the Salvador 2009 Conference and Exposition will be the Opening Session which will be held, on Monday, August 24 at 5:30 pm at Bahia Convention Center, Iemanjá Auditorium. The Opening Session will include special welcomes from the Organizing Committee for 2009 and words of greetings from the co-supporting societies.

Icebreaker Reception

The Icebreaker Reception will be held from 7pm to 10pm on August 24 at the Exposition Area and all Salvador 2009 attendees are invited to this event.

Wednesday Closing Dinner

The Wednesday Closing Dinner, on August 26, is only partially subsidized by the registration fee. Therefore, all Salvador 2009 attendees can purchase up to two Closing Dinner Tickets at R$ 50,00 (fifty reais) per ticket in order to attend. All attendees are encouraged to order their tickets when they register in advance.
